I don’t know about y’all, but I’m already in weekend mode! I’m heading home to see mi familia for Easter. So I probably won’t be posting for a few days. Or maybe I will, you never know when the mood will strike! Safe travels & Happy Easter!! xx MRS
I got to go to Mexico for a few days for a friends wedding in Merida & it was so wonderful. I fell in love with the historic haciendas, quaint town and of course, the comida! The shopping is great- tons of little tiendas selling handmade guayabera shirts, hammocks and hand rolled cigars. Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip….
The beautiful bride!

Every Monday (starting now!!) I’ll be posting about amazing hotels all over the world. Some I’ve visited and others are on my wish list. First off, and one I’m dying to visit….Hotel Santa Teresa in Rio, Brazil.
The hotel is a former coffee plantation overlooking the city.
There are only 44 beautifully restored rooms.
It’s also the only Relais & Chateaux hotel in Brazil. The other hotel I recommend in Rio is The Hotel Fasano. Stay tuned for another post on that. It’s in the middle of the action. Sort of a Chateau Marmont of Rio. Whereas the Santa Teresa is more secluded & private with more of a boutique-y feel.

I moved this month (!!) and finally have a little time to work on my new place. I plan to share photos and inspiration that I find along the way! It’s a tiny space, so that will definitely be the biggest design challenge.
I’ve been keeping things pretty neutral lately because I look at so many patterns and colors all day, but I’m ready for a little pop in this new place. My mom calls it my little Faberge egg!
But I do love that gray…And this black & white..
Stay tuned! xx MRS
In keeping with my ‘at home’ themed posts featuring my favorite odds and ends and must have items, I bring to you Cire Trudon- the very best candle in the world.
Cire Trudon is also the worlds oldest candle maker, founded in 1643.
These made it onto my must have list because I feel like every well appointed home should have one. It just says, I know what’s going on.

Love the pillar candles with cameos. There is a turquoise and gold and coral and gold- amazing. My favorite classic scent is Spiritus Sancti but I haven’t met one I don’t like, so read those descriptions and order whatever sounds good- or check out their store if you happen to be in Paris (78 Rue de Seine) on Bond Street in NYC (54 Bond St.) or order online here.
I can’t believe it’s almost the weekend! I thought January would be a slower time but it’s seems like everyone is ready to freshen up their homes and update their spaces in time for spring. No complaints here! I promised pics from my trip to Thailand and I finally uploaded (all 4,323!!) of them last night. Here are a few- I’ll share a big batch next week. xx
